Paris Burlesque Festival

Not long to go before the 6th edition of the Paris Burlesque Festival opens its doors! From 17 to 21 December 2014, the festival campaigns with humour and glamour for more tolerance, love and solidarity. This year, it is the Music Centre Fleury Goutte d’Or Barbara, in the 18th arrondissement of Paris that will welcome the five-day festival. In a France tired of speeches and political maneuvers, tempted by conservative and intolerant ideas, the Paris Burlesque Festival is committed to offer a time to reflex and express ourselves, through the art of burlesque and around the subjects that drive and often divide the French people. Individual freedom, equality, social activism, feminist, environmentalist, … the artists performing at the festival are addressing these issues by offering something funny and sexy, sometimes sensitive and touching, and sometimes irreverent and provocative. All of them are stripping off to generate a dialogue..this is the ambition of BURLESQUE & POLITICS
